On March 10, 2019, a heavy storm raged over the Waasland in Belgium. The 21 meter high artwork was blown down. A landmark disappeared. With a crowdfunding, Johan and the museum want to create the opportunity to rebuild the work. The work of art was built with the help of many volunteers. More than 1000 man-hours were needed to complete Black meets White. Since 2005 he focuses especially on video work in which he examines \u2018 the moment \u2018. Within this framework, he started a PhD entitled \u2018 A la recherch\u00e9 du moment\/Framing the moment \u2018 in 2007.<br \/>\nHis research starts by observing the movements of water, of plants and trees, to finally scan the body of man.
