Opleiding Schilderkunst (Academie voor Schone Kunsten Gent). Woont en werkt in Gent. Volckaert wil met zijn installaties twijfel zaaien bij de toeschouwer. In het S.M.A.K construeerde hij een massieve vlakke structuur die in de gegeven ruimte twijfels doet rijzen over de werking van het lineaire perspectief. Hij trok ook processiegewijs met een sculptuur op de schouders door het Citadelpark van Gent.

Training painting (Academy of fine arts, Ghent). Lives and works in Ghent. Volckaert wants to question the spectator with his installations. In the S.M.A.K he constructed a massive flat structure that in the given space raises doubts about the operation of the linear perspective. He also walked, like in a procession, with a sculpture on the shoulders through the citadelpark in Ghent.
