Maartje Korstanje maakt grote ruimtelijke sculpturen uit karton, plastic en piepschuim. Ze zoekt haar inspiratie in een fantastische dierenwereld, tegelijk angstaanjagend en humoristisch. Haar creaties worden snel en improviserend opgebouwd. De lichte materialen geven ze een grote spontaneïteit, speelsheid en directheid.

Maartje Korstanje makes large spatial sculptures made of cardboard, plastic and polystyrene. She searches for inspiration in a fantastic animal world, at the same time frightening and humorous.
