Maartje Korstanje makes large spatial sculptures made of cardboard, plastic and polystyrene. She searches for inspiration in a fantastic animal world, at the same time frightening and humorous. Her creations are built up fast and improvising. The light materials they give a great spontaneity, playfulness and directness.
